20:4 If you are too lazy to plow in the right season, you will have no food at the harvest.

This really stresses to me the importance of remaining prepared through prayer and the Word and seeking the Lords direction; to not miss what He has in store!

20:12 Ears to hear and eyes to see- both are gifts from the Lord.

And I need to be continually praying for them. I don't want to miss any of what I was made to be!

20:24 How can we understand the road we travel? It is the Lord who directs our steps.

This leaves me feeling like it is possible that things the Lord has in my future may not always make sense, but like we've read several times it's not about what I understand as much as it is about being surrendered anyways through faith!

21:16 The person who strays from common sense will end up in the company of the dead.

At first this had me scratching my head a little, but I think it tells me that it's pretty foolish to make decisions like the one I battle with about work without the direction of the Lord leading me elsewhere. Common sense tells me that I would be an idiot to walk away from a job like that, but that being said, if the Lord puts it on my heart to walk, it would then be common sense, as a believer, to LISTEN! As of right now I still feel led to get some schooling in first, which also would be the "common sense" thing to do, but I don't pretend to think that He hasn't called others out on what would appear to be a more risky leap of faith before! So I continue to listen, but reamain prepared for what makes sense until led to do otherwise!
