17:22 A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person's strength.

This is an area that I can drop the ball on sometimes. There have been way too many days I have allowed a sour attitude about work make people want to tell me to just shut up already. Or a bad game, or frustration about an aching body, etc, etc... I pray that I constantly keep in mind that my attitude can have a direct effect on someone else's and that I embrace that blessing of a responsibility to keep your light shining brightly ESPECIALLY in those times!

17:24 Sensible people keep their eyes glued on wisdom, but a fool's eyes wander to the ends of the earth.

I bet there have been at least 25-30 verses since we started Proverbs keeping me focused on the path instore, instead of the path just simply desired. I don't know that I would have made the wrong choice, but this sure has kept me "glued" alright!

17:27a A trult wise person uses few words;

Man do I need to pray that this verse pops into mind a little more often. I am definetly the kind of person who sometimes thinks to myself while I'm talking, "Hey self, shut up! Take a breath! You are spittin out words like a thirteen year old chic on speed, already!"

I mean like soooo whatever,
