25:28 A person without self control is as defenseless as a city with broken down walls.
That nervous feeling that used to overwhelm me is one I will never forget. It leaves you feeling completely helpless! Even though I knew better, I continued to give in to desires I wanted so badly to turn away from! I can imagine that the way it is put in this verse makes sense; I bet people in towns that's walls had been knocked down felt that way too. That, "Oh no, we're in trouble now," feeling!
Having the memmory of that helpless feeling so close to my heart will leave me forever grateful that the Lord provides new walls (reaching higher than ever) that gives a new feeling of so much more than just hope; it's more like a share in His victory!!!
There is a Yolanda Adams song called "Victory" that is awesome. I'm kinda hearing it right now! It's got a lil' G'funk to it!
