14:12 There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death.

This really stresses the importance of patiently seeking God's guidance. I know I've made tons and tons of decisions in my life that I honestly felt were the "right" ones but turned out to take me farther down a wrong path!

14:13 Laughter can conceal a heavy heart; when the laughter ends, the grief remains.

That is so me! I am one of the worst that try to medicate with humor! Humor that can at times be so desperate that it's not even that funny! (AWKWARD!!!) And even though I know I do it, I do it again, and again, and again!

14:23 Work brings profit, but mere talk leads to poverty!

Lord, you know the things on my heart, I believe you placed them there. I pray that you continue to nudge me so that I don't fall into just thinking about doing them, but that I dive in and joyfully work away at them! And the things that I need to be better prepared for or have to work up to, Lord I pray for the determinationa and dedication to get there! Not to achieve anything as far as a more godly status, but to be better prepared to bringing more glory to YOU!
