verse 18: "And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge"

This passage amazes me every time I read it!

2 things:

1. We are all in this together. We are to grasp this love "together with all the saints."

2. This is a crazy kind of love. It is a love that we cannot fully understand. Paul tells us to grasp the measure of this love but then says it surpasses knowledge! I guess we are called to understand it as fully as we can, but we will never understand it completely! Wow!

verse 6- "together" "together" "together." It sounds like Paul is trying to make a point. No Lone Rangers please.

17 ...so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

AMEN!!! If we could only grasp one iota of God's love for us, we would be blown away!

AND, if we would just let go and let God, we would be so amazed at what he would do for us! We try to do things our way and we short change ourselves. I also think in a way we steal God's glory. Isn't it about Him and what he'll do for us? It's all for His glory and when we don't let Him do what is best, people around us can't see Him as He really is. Make sense?

God, help us at Rockway to allow you to do immeasurably more thna all we ask or imagine addording to your will for us!
