ephesiansTWO
Our very own worship guy who we like to call Jonathan has created a cool little resource to give you some more background information about the city of Ephesus. He visited Ephesus last year right before coming to Rockway and he has shared some insight and some of his own pics from the trip. Click here for the scoop on Ephesus. And you can also click here for today's reading, Ephesians 2. Of klik lezen hier heden lang in Nederlands!

2:3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts.
Thank you Lord for the possibility of a difference in how powerful of a trap our sinful nature can be versus how powerless it can be once our lives are wholeheartedly desired to be centered in you!
Before my sinful nature was like one of those old Lays Potato Chip commercials, "Betcha Can't Just Do It Once!" ("betcha can't eat just one") Every single time I would be like okay, that was it I'll never do it again! But, uhh oh, I JUST HAD TO! I was like Curious George but the adult unrated version!(AC,SC,N,L)
But oh how verses 4-10 change everything! Thank you Jesus that I don't EVER have to reach back into THAT bag again! That what you have instore for me is all about you and no longer all about me!
love, love, luvluvluvlub,
Jeremy
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
This is so awesome! Grace - it is a magnificant gift! You will never, ever in your life receive such a gift. "Getting what we don't deserve and not getting what we do deserve!!!" God blesses us over and over again and I think we forget about the blessing of Grace!
God, help me to always remember your gift of blessing and grace!!
18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
This is awesome! I can crawl up in God's lap and tell him my deepest, darkest secrets or my most hurtful moments! I don't have to have permission from anyone; there is no secret service; no background check (thank you God!!); no sell out crowds that prevent me from getting in. All I have to do is cry out to Him and He is there!!
We have no idea how good we have it! Wake Up Christians and bask in the glory and grace of our Heavenly Father!!!
